General Information
- There are no minimum quantities. We may be able to offer a discount on orders with 5 or more of the same item stitched or designed the same way.
- All custom embroidery orders will have an artwork charge (digitizing). This charge is in addition to the actual stitching charge for putting your logo or graphic onto your polo, fleece, etc. If you supply a compatible embroidery file, there is no set up charge if no changes are made to the design and the file can be used. We are not responsible for sewing results on customer supplied embroidery files.
- The charge for producing artwork for signs, banners and promotional items starts at $27.50.
Logos and graphics that are not from stock designs must be redrawn.
The minimum charge for digitizing is $40.00.
Larger weight items such as large totes, blankets, banners, are priced per job.
Quality is important to us.
If the outcome of the work will not meet the
quality standards of
Simmons Ink and Stitch we will decline the job. Please understand.

WASHING AND CARE FOR YOUR ITEMS
- We recommend washing embroidery on the wrong side - by turning the garment inside out if possible.
- Heat Pressed Vinyl and Embroidery should not be washed with bleach or fabric softener.
- Hard items (sublimation) can be wiped with a damp wash cloth mixed with dish detergent or a gentle soap.
Additional Charges and Information:
1. The cost of the garment/item to be stitched is in addition to the embroidery (stitch out) price when the item is purchased by Simmons Ink and Stitch
2. Small Lettering: Lettering can be larger than 1 inch but requires different designing requirements. Lettering larger than 1 inch inches may incur a digitizing cost. Letters embroider best as a bold font at least 1/4" high, (3/16" on stiffer fabrics such as nylon jackets). Sometimes, it's better to eliminate some lettering & slightly adjust the remaining elements of the logo. Thin lines will turn out much better if they are made more bold.
3. Puckering will occur on some fabrics that are embroidered if the item shrinks when laundered. Washing in cold water can minimize this problem.
4. Charges apply per hooping or per placement. For example, a left chest logo and right
chest name tag (lettering) are 2 different placement locations. A charge will apply to both the left and right chest.
5. Appliqué is priced per job.
6. Metallic Thread: additional charge will apply; min. $5.00
7. Thread Color Changes: $5 per image per piece in excess of 10 colors.
8. Shipping is a minimum of $12.00 per order, per address. Shipping charges are based on weight, dimensions & ZIP code. We use UPS rates. Please call for international shipping rates. Delivery time varies depending on size of job.
9. We do not provide copies of our artwork.
10. All orders will be charged NY state tax. Non-profits and tax-exempt customers (Native Americans) must submit a copy of their tax-exempt certificate in order to obtain a waiver of tax charges at the time of payment.
11. Customer Supplied Items -Our customers generally purchase the items to be embroidered from Simmons Ink and Stitch. Customers supplying their own gently used garments should check for inside pockets and heavy seams in area to be stitched. Embroidery placement sometimes will require that pockets are sewn shut to comply with customer preferences. In some cases a heavy seam or zipper may prevent the garment from being hooped and therefore the item cannot be stitched. Customers supplying their own garments assume the risk which is normal for commercial embroidery. Items damaged by broken needles or other accidents which occur at times during the course of routine production will be replaced at market cost up to a value of $25.00 without a verifiable receipt and up to $50.00 with a verifiable receipt.
12. Mistakes can happen. If additional items can be supplied, please do so; unused items will be returned. If an item is damaged in production as a result of actions by Simmons Ink and Stitch, we reserve the option to replace the item with a comparable alternate OR reimburse the item up to a maximum value of $50.00 and up to a maximum of $25.00 per item without a receipt. The replacement costs will not be modified even if the customer is able to demonstrate a higher sentimental value or purchase value by producing a purchase receipt. Customers must notify and supply to Simmons Ink and Stitch purchase verification of the value of the item or the proof of purchase (receipt) within 10 business days from the date the error occurred.
13. Simmons Ink and Stitch is not responsible for manufacturer defects or damages resulting from shipping, production or other such circumstances.
14. Digitizing (artwork) costs must be paid in advance before work is begun and are non-refundable.
15. A deposit of 50% or more may be required to begin your custom order.
Estimates are sent to customers by text, email or postal service. Customers must approve a digital or stitched proof (also sent via text or email) before production will occur. Please review your estimate for actual costs before placing your order.
