1. Classes must be pre-paid in-store by cash, credit or online so snacks and supplies can be ordered.
  2. Payments for classes may not be accepted the day of the class since materials must be prepared in advance.
  3. Please plan to pre-pay for classes by the deadline date so sufficient materials and snacks can be ordered.
Refunds and Credits
  1. Refunds and credits are not provided except as noted in this section.
  2. A full refund will be provided if a registration is canceled with three (3) business days (Monday - Saturday) prior to the date of the scheduled class. classes registered within three (3) business days are not refundable.
  3. A credit will be issued when a registration is canceled within three (3) business days (Monday - Saturday)
    prior to the date of the scheduled class. A credit must be used at the next available session.
  4. Registrations canceled within three (3) business days prior to the scheduled class will receive a credit that is valid for two sessions from the originally scheduled class. Classes will be scheduled based on the availability of the facilitators.
  5. Refunds will be issued at customer's written request  by sending the request by electronic mail (email) to or by text to (315) 430-5972. The date of the email/text will be used to determine the date of the request. 
  6. Participants who fail to attend and have not made a refund or credit request as specified in this policy will not be issued a refund or credit under any circumstances.
  7. Once a class has been held refunds and credits will not be issued for that class.
  8.  Credit issued may only be applied to future classes and not to any product or any other services provided by Unity Financial Services or Simmons Ink and Stitch.  
  9. Class enrollment is not transferrable to another person.
  10. Unused credit not redeemed as per this policy is forfeited.
  11. Classes cancelled by Unity Financial Services and/or Simmons Ink and Stitch due to low enrollment or other emergencies will be rescheduled at no additional cost to the participant. In this event participants may request a refund within 3 business days.  Customers who do not request a refund will be issued a credit to be used towards a future class as per this policy. The amount of the credit is equal to the purchased price of the class, not to exceed the cost of the class. Unused credit that is not applied as per this policy is forfeited.
  12. Simmons Ink and Stitch reserves the right to refund a registration if the care services for a participant cannot be reasonably accommodated.

Location of Classes and Pick Up

Most classes will be held at Unity Financial Services, 523 W. Manlius St, East Syracuse, New York 13057. In some cases due to class size, the instruction may be held at a classroom on the premises of Shoppingtown Mall. Notification of class locations will be available at Simmons Ink and Stitch. Notification of the relocation of classes will be online, in the store and/or will be sent via email at the email address provided at time of registration.

Simmons ink and Stitch is not a child care center. Participants must be picked up by the legal guardian at the time the class concludes. Shoppingtown Mall Security will be contacted for children remaining at the store 5 minutes after the class concludes. If other persons are authorized to pick up the child, the person must be included on the registration form. Such persons must show picture identification at the time of pick-up.

Safety and Care

  1. Classes will use tools, machinery and equipment that can be dangerous if not properly handled. Read class descriptions carefully. Parents must disclose at the time of registration any circumstances which may cause potential danger or harm to the students and/or other participants.
  2. Parents are required to remain with children in need of specialized services or care or who are under the age of 8 to maximize safety procedures.
  3. Instructors will remove or refuse participation for participants who are unruly or have the potential to disrupt the class and/or create an emergency or safety hazard. In this event, parents will be contacted and expected to remove their children from the class within 15 minutes or less. Refunds and credits will not be issued for such disruptions.
  4. In the event a parent does not respond to an emergency call within the designated time requirement, Shoppingtown Mall Security will be contacted and the child may be transferred to the care of Shoppingtown Mall Security.
